The Alaska North Slope Stratigraphic Test Well - Project Participants

The organizations involved in the DOE/NETL-funded “Alaska North Slope Gas Hydrate Reservoir Characterization” project, of which the drilling of the Mt. Elbert prospect is part, include: BP Exploration Alaska Inc. (BPXA), providing access to data and the drilling location, as well as project management, geology, and geophysical expertise; the US Geological Survey, providing a wide range of geological and geophysical expertise for the project, and a number of other partners that have been involved in the geologic studies, computer simulations and laboratory studies behind the development of the prospect.
