Advanced Hot Section Materials and Coatings Test Rig

In September of 2003, the National Energy Technology Laboratory entered into a cooperative agreement with Florida Turbine Technology Inc. (FTT) to develop a materials test apparatus that mimics the high temperature combustion stream and stress environment of a gas turbine. The test apparatus will then be integrated with a coal gasification fuel source.
