Mercury Emissions Control Technologies
Brominated Sorbents for Cold-Side ESPs, Hot-Side ESPs,
and Fly Ash Use in Concrete
Sorbent Technology will test two technologies for mercury removal from flue gas. Their concrete safe brominated sorbent will be tested at Midwest Generation’s Crawford Station and brominated sorbents for mercury removal from hot side electrostatic precipitators will also be tested. The project will be conducted over 24 months and will demonstrate the viability of chemically impregnated sorbents for mercury removal.
