The Combustion Technologies Product promotes the advancement of coal combustion power generation for use in industrial, commercial, and utility markets through systems integration and component improvement for new plants and existing plants. Technologies in the product line include:

• Atmospheric Pressure Combustion Technologies 
  The Combustion Technologies products in this class are characterized by the processes operating with combustion occurring at near atmospheric pressure.   These systems use steam as the power conversion technology. 

• Hybrid Combustion Technologies 
  The Combustion Technologies products in this class are characterized by the processes operating at two pressure levels.   Pressurized topping combustion occurs to support a gas turbine, with some combustion occurring at near atmospheric pressure for heat generation that uses steam as the bottoming cycle power conversion technology. 

• Pressurized Combustion Technologies 
  The Combustion Technologies products in this class are characterized by the entire processes operating with combustion occurring at elevated pressure.  These systems use a gas turbine as the topping cycle, with steam as the bottoming cycle power conversion technology.
