Combustion - Products Summary
Atmospheric Pressure Combustion Technologies

Products Summary    Atmospheric Products    Hybrid Products    Pressurized Products

The Combustion Technologies products in this class are characterized by the processes operating with combustion occurring at near atmospheric pressure.
These systems use steam as the power conversion technology.

Atmospheric fluidized-bed combustion (FBC) systems are those that include combustors operating in a bubbling, circulating, or transport hydrodynamic mode where dense beds of solids are supported by combustion air.   Combustion takes place within the bed at atmospheric conditions.  Another class of atmospheric combustion technologies, low-emission boiler systems (LEBS), is based on advancements to industry-proven pulverized coal combustion by integrating state-of-the-art process advances at the outset of design, especially for repowering or retrofit.
