Objectives:

To promote the exchange of scientific information in order to enhance the educational training and research capabilities of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the fields of science, engineering, and technical management. 

• To facilitate the interactions and professional networks among faculty from HBCU/OMI, industrial representatives, and DOE personnel

• To expose faculty from HBCU/OMI to potential energy related research programs and the state of the art techniques in the energy field within DOE, industry, and other governmental agencies.

• To promote and recognize outstanding research programs at HBCU/OMI.

• To provide technical guidance for HBCU/OMI faculty and students (student poster competition).

• To receive constructive feedback from stakeholders
