Roderic D. Witschey

Rod entered government service in June 1966 with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Arlington, Virginia.  After seven years with DIA, Rod transferred to the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) in Germantown, Maryland.  Rod has continued with the AEC, the Energy Research and Development Administration, and finally the Department of Energy.  During this time he was on loan to the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria for 4 years.  He has been in the computer field his entire career and has served in many different functions.  Rod was instrumental in the formulation of the IT Project Management Certification Program.  His current duties are in support of the ?Department-wide IT Competitive Sourcing Initiative.

Rod was certified as a Chief Information Officer in 1999 by the National Defense University and received his Masters Degree from Syracuse University in 2001.
