MORGANTOWN, WV — The Office of Fossil Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory, the research arm of the Department of Energy's fossil energy program, has released its annual Accomplishments Report highlighting advances in fossil-energy-related research, technological breakthroughs, and the successful transfer of technology to resolve the environmental, supply, and reliability constraints of producing and using fossil resources.
The bulk of the accomplishments involve coal, oil, and natural gas, since fossil resources are the heart of NETL’s mission. The report also presents achievements in energy information, and energy efficiency and renewable energy—and it includes awards and recognition in pursuit of these goals. |
