This course is designed as a familiarization course to increase understanding of IGCC plant operations and control, including gasification, CO2 capture, and combined cycle operation, for personnel assigned as IGCC control room operators. During the training, trainees will startup and shutdown the simulated unit in an integrated manner and will be exposed to malfunctions during the exercises. The importance of teamwork and communications will be stressed during the training. Course objectives are as follows:
Trainees will spend 25% of the time in the classroom and 75% of the time interacting with the IGCC simulator.
Recommended participants: Operations personnel from electric utilities, engineering & construction firms, and equipment vendors with an interest in IGCC operations including air separation, gasification, syngas cleanup, carbon capture and compression, and combined cycle.
Estimated Length: 10 days
Price: $12,984 per trainee
